I always thought I knew so much about life. I had defined my life path a long time ago, and everybody applauded me on being such a smart little girl that knew just what she wants, and was never afraid to fight for it. Along the way, as my life was going just in the direction that fit perfectly into my plans, I have met some interesting people, seen some fabulous places...learned so much. And, I’ll tell you this: yes, it is good when life goes just as you have planned it! Until one day, it just doesn’t! And, until one day, you just have no clue about life!
What happens then? What happens when you wake up one day and something that was not drawn into your plans occurs? Something you thought COULD NOT and WOULD NOT ever happen to you? Losing a person you love, and you thought you could not live without, going through a divorce, losing your job, illness, losing a friend, you name it! How you react and what you do in those situations reflect who you are, and what life has thought you up to that point.
At first, you may be shocked and shattered, without a will to get up in the morning, and you may want to sleep through it, and wake up as nothing has even happened. You may cry. You may scream. You may turn off your phone, and shut everybody out of your life. You may eat as much ice-cream as you want. Nothing will help.
Nothing will help, until you pull yourself together and embrace the change as something inevitable, cut your loses, let go of your fears and start fresh. Once you make a decision to do that, you will be able to see all the new range of opportunities never considered before.
Your life may turn out so totally different from your initial plan, or you maybe even end up living a life without a plan. No matter what, change is something that rarely comes from within. Instead, it is inflicted upon us. Luckily, we can lose ourselves in the change and amazing things can happen.
