People in Bosnia constantly complain about the lack of culture events, especially related to fashion and art. I guess that’s just in the nature of Bosnians to complain, even when there is no room for complaints, because for the true lovers of art and fashion {as my recent research has shown!}, there is plenty of opportunity to feed their hunger for those.

I was especially happy to receive information about the upcoming event in Mostar, organized by MODAMO.info. A Festival of design and art - MODAMO.kreART.iva is set for October 13th and 14th, 2012, and is welcoming all sorts of artists; fashion designers, photographers, graphic designers, painters … and those who’d like to admire {and purchase} their work.

Artists’ applications are accepted until September 1st, at midnight. Application form and other related information can be found on kreartiva.tumblr.com.

Vintage store with a charm.

If you live in Sarajevo, you pretty much do not have too many choices, when it comes to vintage shopping. And, if you really enjoy the thrill of the hunt for those special vintage pieces, you use every chance to go on a treasure hunt, when traveling around the world. If you are lucky, to travel, that is!

For those less fortunate, that do not plan a trip to the U.S. or somewhere else any time soon, I found a perfect little store, that will definitely satisfy your thirst for vintage clothes, shoes and accessories. Sea Vintage is a recently opened vintage store, located in Sarajevo, and it carries such beautiful pieces; all of them beautifully exposed around the store. 

You will enjoy every moment you spend at Sea Vintage! And, most definitely find something to take home…! Make sure you visit this adorable store, as soon as possible!

A lovely little store - Plastik Fantastik

Don’t you just love when you take a Saturday walk down the streets of your hometown, and discover something totally new? I definitely do! So, my stroll down the Old Town streets today was quite productive, since I discovered this adorable, little store called Plastik Fantastik. And, I have to admit: I am in love! Not only with its creative and unique interior, but also with the products it carries! Colorful plastic bags, jewelry, and hair accessories are made by the local Sarajevo designers, who believe that accessories are much better than the plastic surgery, and cheaper...Definitely, my kind of people! If you are in Sarajevo, stop by this lovely store, or check out the designers’ blog, to browse through some of their pieces.
